Vicary's Famous Woolshed Dance

A Long History

Vicarys Winery and Woolshed are a link to the early beginnings of the Australian Wine and Wool Industry.

The Woolshed itself was constructed sometime around the 1890s with the facilities for shearing about 2,500 sheep. The wool then being shipped to England. Later in the 1930s it was converted to an all purpose dairy and remained so until it was converted to Vicarys Famous Woolshed Dance in the late 1970s. The shed still retains the flavour of its original use, with farm implements and artifacts of the bygone era. Recently a new sprung wooden dance floor was installed adding to your dancing pleasure. There are also large open fires to keep you warm and cosy during the winter months.

You can relive the fun and nostalgia of a time past at Vicary's Famous Woolshed Dance every Friday and Saturday night.

Format

Your night commences at 7:00 pm at the Winery for your complimentary wine tasting until 8:00 pm. This will enable you time to purchase your liquor requirements for the evening ahead. There are also full bar facilities available in the Woolshed.

At 8:00 pm, the evening's fun starts as we adjourn to the Woolshed.

The first course is soup of the day and damper. Second course, (will be served from 8:30 pm) select your scotch fillet steak from the barbeque and salad buffet with a variety of colonial salads and hot potatoes in jackets. Third course is a choice of tempting desserts also included Tea and Coffee.

Please advise us in advance if their is any special dietry requirements eg; vegan, celiac etc. so we can cater accordingly.

Whilst dinner is being served, you can sing along and dance to our excellent bush band

' RIGHT AROUND THE BEND'.

If you are a hearty eater, you're welcome to come back for a second serve!

Your evening will conclude at 12:00 pm midnight.

P.S. Neat casual dress or bush attire is advised, with low heels for the ladies, shirt and sleeves for the gents.

A fun night is guaranteed for all.

Your tickets for the evening are only available at the Winery before 7:30 pm

Please Note:The organiser will need to collect the tickets to enable admittace into the woolshed venue.

$25.00 deposit per head is required four (4) weeks
in advance of your booking. Deposit for groups of
100 or more are required six (6) weeks in advance.

Private Bookings

Vicarys Famous Woolshed is an ideal venue for your social outings where you can let your hair down and have a fun filled night.

It is well suited to company or private occasions. If your group or company has a minimum of 120 people you can inquire about private woolshed bookings where the night or day is for your organisation only.

For smaller groups the function room in the winery is available for group bookings with a maximum 120 people.

Deposits for private bookings must be paid 8 weeks in advance.

Weddings

If you are looking for something with a difference for your special night Vicarys Famous Woolshed can provide a unique difference.

Both you and your guests will enjoy the atmosphere leaving you with fond memories of the occasion.

The evenings format is basically the same as Friday and Saturday nights. Minimum numbers will apply (as above) and prices will vary according to your requirements.
